Overview of the Volunteer Financial Planning Team
The Committee on Ministerial Care (CMC) seeks to care for our ministers and their widows in a variety of ways, including personal financial planning assistance.
While there are many self-help resources available to which we might refer a minister, the CMC recognizes that there will often be circumstances where the training, specific expertise and wisdom of an experienced financial professional is likely to produce the best outcome.
Given that ministers are typically not in the “target demographic” for reputable financial advice firms or may not be able to afford their services, the CMC maintains a Volunteer Financial Planning Team (VFPT), made up of experienced individuals from the OPC who can on a voluntary basis provide personal financial planning assistance to our ministers and their
